Sound Body, Mind and Spirit
The way we live nowadays or maybe even during the earlier existence of man, we view the three parts, body, mind and Spirit as three different compartments. There are those who are very health-conscious about their diet, their exercise, their daily physical routine but had never really “thought” of keeping their minds healthy as well. But most importantly, there are those who have lived each day without even acknowledging the Source of all that they possess and enjoy.
Only Jesus
Thirty seven years of God’s leading, faithfulness and goodness! Bramalea church family is ready to celebrate! We have seen the evidences of how Jesus abided with us since the beginning until today. Jesus has seen us through the many challenges the church has encountered individually and corporately. We stood firm and focused our vision on what we found – a passion not to live in the past – but to engage in the present and look ahead to what Jesus has in store for us in the future.
Sarimanok: Myth vs Truth
The Maranao tribe is from Mindanao in the southern part of the Philippines and during the pre-Hispanic time of the country, they had their own culture, language, beliefs and arts. The Sarimanok, with its beautiful and colourful feathers, is frequently depicted in their artistic, decorative and architectural designs and plays an integral part of their culture.)
A Mother (Poem)
The miracle of motherhood was so amazing, and wonderful Elizabeth and Hannah were good examples. Their children became the testimonies Of their heartfelt plea and of God’s faithfulness. Some seeds of doubt may have entered their hearts, But trust prevailed, and prayers were answered. They praised and honoured the Maker and Friend Who gives to all until the very end.
For Good Work…
This coming week, the Bramalea church family is going to witness the realization of the work God continues to do in the hearts of His people who desire to be co-labourers with Him in the finishing of His work.
Can You Hear Me?
Can anyone commuting in the subway ever hear the overhead announcements? I often wonder about that as almost everyone has their earphones (some with noise-cancelling features) on all the time. People wore earphones for various reasons but personally, I occasionally put mine on to drown out the noise of passengers talking loudly to each other. If we live our lives muting outside sound and just focusing on our own choice music/podcast/activities, do you think there is room for the voice of God calling you?
Bereavement Leave
Jesus does not want us to suffer for a long time. He is also grieved by our grief. Instead, He wants us to focus on the HOPE; the anticipation, the promise of a much joyful reunion when Jesus will raise our loved ones, never to die again but to be reunited with Him, the Maker, together with all our loved ones who have departed before us.
To Be Changed or Be Transformed
As the church starts to gear up to the actual reopening of our physical church at Bramalea Fil-Can SDA Church at Torbram Rd, I can sense many mixed emotions. For sure, many will be very excited to meet up with all our church family once again, but what would be each one’s expectations?
COME AND SEE…
One of the things Pastor Ivan Williams, our director of the Ministerial Department for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, mentioned regarding “Connecting like Jesus” is to let people know you care and then people will wonder where you get all this caring, loving and kindness from. And that’s when you connect people with the God who made things happen, the One who made you who are today.

Pastoral (Quarantine church) Report Church Business Meeting
We are living in an unprecedented time in our human history. Rapid changes are happening in our world. The “new normal” is upon us and we as a church must be ready to continue to embrace these changes as we conduct ourselves in fulfillment of our gospel task.
Church Business Meeting
The Bramalea church family finally convened for the first time after our physical church closed last year, March, 2020. During the 3-hour meeting last week, different councils presented their strategic goals each one hoping our church will grow exponentially in terms of membership, community services, fellowship and evangelism and most of all, in our spiritual journey.
